Care and Washing Instructions

Many of the garments and décor items I make are made with vintage, deadstock, or upcycled textiles. These textiles have often seen a lot of life already and need to be treated with extra care. Each fabric that I start with is washed, spot cleaned, repaired, or felted thoroughly before assembly.

I carefully hand select each and every fabric I use to ensure both a beautiful design and little to no stains or excessive repairs. I also believe that if something starts to unravel or rip, you just pick up some needle and thread and repair it and let the garment continue its journey versus disposing of it. Certain care needs to be taken in wearing your garment as well.

Fabric products don’t need to be washed every time. The sweaters in particular, as layering pieces, do not need much washing. When you do wash your sweater, take care and wash in cold water on gentle cycle. Do not mix with light colors. Once you wash it, you can lay the sweater flat to
dry as needed. Instead of washing, spot clean all fabric items with a damp cloth when possible.

If you have any questions about caring for your garment, please reach out to me. I take a lot of care and pride in my work, and I want you to be happy, enjoy your piece for many years, and pass it on so it becomes a true heritage piece.
